I had a lot of fun altering this tin! I prepped the surface of the tin with a quick sanding and then covered the surface with Viva Decor Black Crackle Paint and let dry overnight. I love the color that peeks through the cracks!

I piled on the embellishments to finish the outside of the tin. The focal point skeleton gem is actually a magnet that I made in just a few simple steps.

Step One: Select the Skeleton Stamp from the Skeleton Melange Cling Stamp Set. Stamp the image onto a piece of white cardstock using Black Archival Ink.

Step Two: Cover the image with a small drop of Glossy Accents, or other clear glaze, and press a glass gem onto the image. Let dry.

Step Three: Cut the excess cardstock from around the gem. Flip the gem over, add a small drop of Glossy Accents to the center and press a magnet into the glaze. Let dry and enjoy!

I decorated the inside of the tin with pieces of gessoed book pages that I stamped with the Fringe Lace Clear Stamp. I stamped the word 'halloween' using the Halloween Mix It Up Clear Stamp Set. I finished the inside of the tin with a flower cluster and some black ribbon. I'm planning on adding a photo of my girls in their Halloween costumes to the other side of the tin.

Thanks for stopping by today! The next blog on the hop is Amanda's.
