Painted Paper Roll Canvases: A Canvas Corp Brands Kid's Craft Tutorial

Hi! I'm sharing a fun tutorial for Canvas Corp Brands today. My daughters and I have been saving up empty paper rolls to use for art projects. The recent snow storm gave us the perfect excuse to spend some time crafting together and cut into our empty paper roll stash! We had a blast designing and painting these colorful canvases together! We used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glam, and Glaze to color our canvases, but watercolor or acrylic paint would also work great.

Supplies:
Canvas Corp Stretched Canvas (8x8 and Chunky 10x10 shown above)
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Sherbert, Pink Bubblegum, Marmalade, Lemon Zest, Fully Purple, Puerto Rico
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam: Blizzard
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze: Icicle
Empty Paper Rolls

Tools:
Paintbrush
Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
Paint Palette Tray

Step One: Cut the empty paper rolls into 1/4-inch pieces. Arrange the pieces on the canvas in a pleasing design. Use a hot glue gun to attached the pieces of paper roll to the canvas. Note: Parental guidance is recommended for this step. I used the hot glue gun to attach the paper rolls to the canvases to help avoid burned fingers.

Step Two: Run a wet paintbrush over the canvas to help with color absorption. Use a paintbrush to apply Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, and Glimmer Glaze to the canvas.

Step Three: Continue brushing spray mist over the canvas until the entire piece is painted. Rinse the paintbrush between colors. If necessary, apply clean water to the canvas with a paintbrush to help spread the color. Let dry.

My girls are thrilled with their artwork! They have assured me that other kids will love this project as well. These gorgeous canvases will find a special place on the wall of my art studio!
