Hi! I'm sharing the first layout I've created for FabScraps today. I've used the gorgeous Shabby Rose Collection (C85) to document this old family photo. The horse, Misty, in the photo belonged to my Great Grandfather. Misty tried to bite my Mother when she was a girl and they never had a great relationship after that. My Mother and I are slowly organizing our family photos, and when she came across this one, she was happy to pass the picture on to me!
I framed the photo with layers of fussy cut flowers, chipboard, metal embellishments, and stenciled designs. FabScraps offers coordinating stencils, chipboard, and embellishments for each of their collections, which makes designing so much easier.
The Shabby Rose Collection features several different designs of floral prints with vintage hinges. I highlighted that design element by creating a set of doors to cover my layout. If you'd like to recreate this, or a similar, layout for yourself, please visit the FabScraps blog for the full instructions.
