Elephant Tag - FabScraps

Elephant Tag by Dana Tatar for FabScraps - Call From The Wild Collection

Hi! I'm sharing a tag I created for FabScraps today. The new Call from the Wild collection is amazing! This line is a great way to celebrate your favorite wild animals that may be unfortunately endangered, vulnerable, protected, vanishing, and/or threatened. A portion of the sales from this line will be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Network. This tag shows my love for elephants.

Elephant Mixed Media Tag by Dana Tatar for FabScraps - Call From The Wild Collection

I had a lot of fun incorporating different materials and textures on this tag.

To create this tag you will need:
Call from the Wild – Vanishing C91 003
Call from the Wild – Protected C91 005
Call from the Wild – Endangered C91 007
Call from the Wild – Vulnerable C91 008
Call from the Wild – Carder's Pack MC91 001A
Call from the Wild – Elephant Chipboard Word DC91 007
Call from the Wild – 3 Wild Animals Chipboard DC91 009 (Elephant)
Corrugated Cardboard
Large Black Cardstock Tag
Medium Orange Cardstock Tag
Metal Tag Charm
Paper Leaves
Green Flower
Assorted Ribbons and Trims
Dye Ink – Brown and Green
Brown Metallic Paint

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of Vulnerable patterned paper slightly smaller than the large black tag. Apply green and brown dye ink to the edges of the patterned paper. Glue the patterned paper to the top of the tag.

2. Wrap green trim around the left side of the tag several times. Glue into place. Glue beige leaf trim next to the green trim down the left side of the tag.

3. Paint the Elephant Chipboard Word with brown metallic paint. Let dry. Glue the chipboard word onto the left edge of the large tag.

4. Cut a piece of Protected patterned paper slightly smaller than the medium orange tag. Apply green and brown dye ink to the edges of the patterned paper. Glue the patterned paper to the top of the tag.

5. Fold and glue a tag holder from the Carder's Pack. Glue pieces of corrugated cardboard to the top and bottom of the tag holder. Wrap a piece of burlap ribbon around the center of the tag holder and glue to the back. Glue the tag holder to the bottom half of the medium tag.

6. Cut a pair of elephants from the Vanishing patterned paper. Glue the elephants to the center of the tag holder. Glue small paper leaves around the elephants.

7. Cut an elephant stamp from the Endangered patterned paper. Apply brown dye ink to the edges of the stamp. Glue the stamp into the top of the tag holder.

8. Tie a piece of yellow twine around the bottom of the tag holder.

9. String a metal tag charm onto a piece of twine. Thread the twine through the hole at the top of the medium tag and tie into a bow. Glue a green flower to the center of the bow.

10. Cover a Chipboard Elephant with the coordinating die-cut elephant from the Carder's Pack. Apply brown dye ink to the edges of the chipboard. Glue the elephant to the back of the medium tag so that the elephant truck and front legs are visible on the right side of the tag.

11. Glue the medium tag to the front of the large tag. Glue a piece of floral ribbon to the top of the large tag.
