Rebel Yell Artist Trading Card - More Than Words Challenges

Hi! I'm sharing the artist trading card I created for the More Than Words Challenges March Mini Challenge today. The mini challenge word this month is MORE. I immediately thought of the Billy Idol song "Rebel Yell" and used some of those lyrics as my inspiration.

I started with a stock photo of a woman yelling and added a comic print filter over the top to give the image a pop art effect. I topped the image with some Jane Davenport washi tape eyes, some computer generated lyrics, and a sequin star.

I added the word more to the card 3 times, just like in the song. To help convey dynamics, I increased the size of the words, the largest being pressed into a piece of Dymo tape. This was a fun way to depict growing volume. To finish the card I applied purple chalk ink around the edges.
