Hi! I'm sharing a scrapbook layout for Color Rush Studio today that was inspired by one of my favorite musicians, John Lennon, who would have been 83 today. I used the NEW Bold and Basic II collection, which features colorful mixed-media style designs on one side of the paper, and bold black and white prints on the other.
I used a Tim Holtz mask and dye ink to add the music staff across the center of the page over a portion of rainbow patterned paper. I've had the John Lennon commemorative stamps for several years and have been wanting to use them on a project. This paper collection was just what I needed! I scanned the original sheet of stamps and used a printed copy on this page. I used a shaker star from the Oh My Stars! Set to embellish the photo. I just love the sparkle!
I also added two foil fabric stars from the Oh My Stars Two Set to the page. The shimmer helps to brighten up the matte patterned papers.
The American Crafts Stories Thickers were a great match to the color palette of the rainbow paper I selected for this layout. I arranged the letter stickers to coordinate with the colors of the rainbow across the left side of the page, and then added some John Lennon song lyrics to complete the message.
