Friendship Mini Album - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm sharing a mini album that I created for Brutus Monroe today. The Inspiration Team was given the challenge to create a project using the Be Mine Paper Pad and the Salt and Pepper Stamp of the Month. I think this was a super fun idea and I love the friendship theme. If you're not a member of the Brutus Monroe Facebook Fan Club, it's a great way to get daily inspiration and to see all the takes on this challenge. I upcycled my Inspiration Team shipping box into this mini album. The colorful Brutus Monroe packing tape, as well as the products that were inside the box, were my inspiration.

I colored the cardboard covers with white gesso and stripes of Chroma and Velveteen Glaze, and then added Chroma Mist splatters. To create the focal point of the album cover, I stamped and embossed designs from the Salt and Pepper Stamp of the Month onto a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate. I colored the salt and pepper shakers with paint markers on the back side of the acetate for a smooth finish. I finished the cover with a trio of fussy cut letter x’s from the Be Mine Paper Pad. 

I created the album signature from white cardstock colored with Chroma Mist. I covered the inside of the album cover with patterned paper from the Be Mine Paper Pad. The album pages contain the announcement images of the 2024 Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team and some handwritten journaling. Naturally, I put myself next to Christopher! I'm so excited to create with this talented group of artists this year.
