Colorful Spring Envelope Album - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm super excited to share the envelope mini album that I created with the new Colorful Spring Paper Pad from Brutus Monroe. I feel like I wished this paper collection into existence. Bright and colorful blooms are my absolute favorite design element to fussy cut for projects, and every sheet of paper in this line is beautiful! I'm a big fan of pop art, so I'm loving these bold designs.

I cut up an entire paper pad for this project and layered the duplicate designs with foam adhesive to create flower clusters with lots of dimension to decorate the simple solid-colored envelopes I chose to use for the album pages. I applied just a touch of Sugar Glitter and some Clear Acrylic Bubbles to the cover of the album to add some subtle sparkle and shine.

I chose envelopes for the base pages of this album so that I could cover the pages completely with flowers and still have room to tuck photos and ephemera inside the envelopes to document special memories. I have been thinking of creating more embellished envelopes to hold flower seed packets for a thoughtful gift.

The patterned papers are double-sided, and I wanted to be sure that the embellished album pages looked great from both sides. I used paint markers to color the back sides of the patterned papers where necessary, which is shown on the left side of the album above. The flowers peeking out over the top edge of the envelopes are colored by hand to blend in better.

Some pages were easier for me to color, like the blue and white dot fade design on the left.

I'm obsessed with this paper collection and plan on making at least one more album like this.
