Proud Parent Scrapbook Layout - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I created this layout using the 2024 Be You Pride Box for Brutus Monroe. I'm a proud parent of a transgender teen. We enjoy getting out and attending Pride events during the month of June. Although we support our child and their community all year long, it is special to be able to gather with a large group of like-minded people to celebrate self-expression and love in all forms.

I had a great time coloring some Be You Card Panels for this layout. After coloring, I cut away the white cardstock and designed with just the waves of color. I embellished the colored waves with the new Rainbow Acrylic Bubbles.

I used the new CMYK Proud Stencil with the new Aqua Pigments to create the title for this page. A full blended rainbow is created when using yellow, pink, and blue ink separately with the three areas of this stencil. I went over the stencil with a black pen to help define the letters once the ink was dry. I absolutely love this effect!

The new Heart Hands Die Set is super fun! I used Tonic Studios Purple Rain Craft Perfect Iridescent Mirror Cardstock for the heart and nails. The shimmer in real life is fantastic!

The You Are Stamp Set was the perfect way to embellish the side of the page. When a mom is trying to describe their kid, ALL the adjectives must be used! I stamped the words down the side of the page in alphabetical order and then embellished the white space with mini stamps, which I then colored with markers to follow the wave of color from the rainbow ribbon.

I have to admit that I was feeling all the feels creating this layout. You can pick up a Be You Pride Box while supplies last.
