You Are Here Kayaking Scrapbook Layout - Brutus Monroe

How to use the Fish Bowl Cutting Dies from Brutus Monroe with cardstock and acetate to create a layered shaker border strip for a scrapbook layout.

Hi! I'm sharing a scrapbook layout that I created with some of the amazing July release products from Brutus Monroe. My youngest daughter is recovering from ACL surgery, but she didn't let that hold her back during our annual vacation at our family lake house. She took several trips out in a kayak during the peaceful morning hours. She enjoys creating her own adventures.

I had a lot of fun creating this shaker border for the bottom of the page. I used the Fish Bowl Die Set several times across strips of cardstock to create the layered shaker window that I backed with acetate and then filled with sequins. I added a bright orange fish for a fun pop of color.

I colored two Artistic Waves Card Panels with Sharpie markers, leaving about half of the panels black and white, to help create movement in the waves under the photo. I've really been enjoying the quiet coloring time, and these beautiful designs are for more than just cards!

Brutus Monroe Siren Song Embossing Powder on a Wood Veneer You Are Here Title on a Scrapbook Layout

The Embossing Powder of the Month, Siren Song, is a stunning blue-green color with lots of sparkle. I applied two coats onto this wood veneer title. The finish reminds me of sunlight on water.
