Back to School Traveler's Notebook Cover - Brutus Monroe

 

Hi! I'm getting ready for the school year with this fun Traveler's Notebook cover that I created for Brutus Monroe. I used Chroma Mist to transform a plain white canvas cover into a vibrant rainbow.

I stamped and heat embossed art supplies and doodle style shapes onto the canvas for a fun DIY print. If you've never stamped and embossed on fabric, it can be a little tricky. Gloss gel is my secret weapon. Once the Chroma Mist dried, I applied a layer of gloss gel to the canvas. This medium served several purposes. Practically, it helped fill in the gaps in the canvas fabric, which created a smooth layer for stamping and embossing. Aesthetically, it added some shine and will also protect the fabric from everyday wear and tear, and dirt. It's a win-win!

I'm absolutely thrilled with how this cover turned out! It's been a minute since I needed school supplies, so this was a fun project. I'm keeping this for myself, but it would also make a great gift for a special teacher.
