Hi! I'm sharing a mini book that I created out of Brutus Monroe invoice envelopes to document the art projects I create in 2025. The colorful envelopes that arrive with every Brutus Monroe order are just too colorful and fun to throw away. I managed to collect enough last year to create this album, which I'm really pleased with.
I bound the envelopes together using a 1/2-inch accordion binding that I folded from about one and a half pieces of 8.5x11 inch cardstock. I adhered the envelopes onto the binding facing the same direction, which gave me one solid page and one inner envelope page which opens to hold keepsakes for each month of the year.
I added month tabs from my stash to the top right envelope on each spread. I like how they look peeking out of the top of the book. Securing the tabs in this manner kept the flaps out of the way of the ribbon closure on the right side of the book.
I added a 10-year Brutus Monroe sticker from the Anniversary party onto the inside cover of this book. I know Christopher has lots of exciting things planned for the year ahead. The first page of the book holds a jumbo mixed media tag that I covered in ledger paper that I'll use to record my crafty goals for the year.
Each 2-page spread for a month in 2025 is set up the same way. I applied a piece of Lagoon cardstock in the center of the envelope on the left to use as a photo mat for a collage of the projects that I create for that month. The envelope on the right is covered in ledger paper, opens, and will be used to hold project scraps and other keepsakes that I collect during each month.
Here's a look at the full year of pages. I absolutely love all the color. I'm super excited to start creating!
