Hi! Happy National Scrapbooking Day! I created this scrapbook layout to document my in-person Spring Fling 2025 event at Brutus Monroe. I modified my favorite Christopher Alan card design from the event to fit an 8.5x11 page.
The stamped, stenciled, and die-cut flowers line a piece of Secret Garden patterned paper down the left side of the page.
I added sparkle to the layout using Glitterstock, Glitter Glaze, Shimmer Splash, and Crystals. This is absolutely brilliant when the light hits it in real life.
I hand-cut the title for this layout from the paper mat that was at every seat in the class. Most of the class attendees used this paper for ink blotting or color testing, but I immediately placed mine in a safe place so that it would stay pristine. If that meant I transferred ink to my hands, clothes, or cards, it was a risk I was willing to take! I painted over the word "fling" and the year "2025" with Gilded Shimmer Splash.
The card class that showcased these products was taught by Christopher Alan and it includes a stunning floral stamp with a coordinating set of stencils to help with coloring with ink and a blending brush, and a coordinating die, which allows you to not only perfectly cut the floral pattern from cardstock but also to create beautiful inlay designs like the flower border down the left side of this page. The die-cut flowers fit perfectly inside the spaces cut into the patterned paper for a flat and seamless finish.
