Hi! I created a strawberry shaker mini album by hand using Lightweight Surface Board and Acetate to showcase the Strawberry Patch Paper Pad of the Month from Brutus Monroe. Sweet Theodore, our new mouse friend, peeks out of many of the pages. I used the 10-Year Anniversary Limited Edition Theodore's First Christmas Stamp Set for my mouse designs, but Theodore is present in almost every stamp from this month's Stitched with Love Release, so if you don't pick up the stamp collection I used, he does appear in several other sets.
The only limit is your imagination when creating with Lightweight Surface Board Sheets and acetate. I modeled this mini album design after the strawberry stamp in the Sweet Summer Toppings Stamp Set. I cut four large strawberries for the album pages. To assemble the shaker cover, I cut 3 strawberry shaped spacer rings and one strawberry shaped acetate sheet to fit between them.
I glued two rings together to give my shaker section enough height to allow my shaker mix to move freely inside the cover. Then, I glued the acetate sheet over the filled shaker space and topped that with the last strawberry shaped ring. I cut an additional strawberry top to cover the top of the large strawberry for dimension, which I embellished with die-cut flowers and leaves. I also cut a second smaller strawberry from Lightweight Surface Board to embellish the cover and decorated that with die-cut flowers, fussy cut designs from the paper pad, and stamped and colored images. I colored the chipboard with acrylic paint and then applied glitter glaze to the large strawberry top and smaller strawberry.
Each strawberry shaped mini album page is covered with patterned paper and embellished with fussy cut and stamped designs.
The photos I included in this album are strawberry themed from several different occasions: a trip to the strawberry fields, homemade strawberry shortcake, a time when my kids dressed identical with strawberry tank tops, and a closeup of my daughter's crocheted strawberry top.
I had a lot of fun embellishing the Stitched Joy stamp with embroidery floss, chipboard, and stamped designs for a 3D final page. The needle chipboard design can be threaded, and the scissor chipboard has space between the cutting blades, so I ran floss through both of those pieces which added a fun touch of realism to the page.
