American Flag Wood Slice Decor - Clearsnap

American Flag Wood Slice Decor with ColorBox ColorBlends 2 and Stars and Stripes Art Screens

Hi! I created this piece of patriotic home décor using Art Screens, Wood Mount Stamps, and Blends 2 by Eileen Hull for Clearsnap. This American flag stenciled bark edge wood plank is a great way to decorate for national holidays or to show your patriotism all year long.

First, I applied a small block of Uniform Blends 2 (blue) to the upper left corner of the plank. Then, I covered the rest of the plank with Coconut Blends 2 (white). Next, I applied stars and stripes to the plank using Art Screens. I made sure to leave a small area in the bottom right corner open for the Land of the Free stamping.

The Blends 2 by Eileen Hull line includes a fantastic pigment-based palette of 17 opaque colors, 4 metallic colors, and 1 clear inks. The extended drying time of this ink makes it perfect for blending and embossing techniques on a variety of surfaces. The colors can be mixed and layered to create a variety of effects straight from the bottle, or with a paintbrush, dauber, or other applicator.
