Scary Stories Book Review Journal - Brutus Monroe

Hi! I created this envelope mini album using the Brutus Monroe 2025 Halloween Advent Calendar to document 13 scary reads for the month of October. (I'm sharing what I created with the 2026 Halloween Advent Calendar later this month!) It was my intention to use this calendar last year, but time got away from me. Luckily craft supplies don't expire! For the past four years, I have created Halloween Watchlist Mini Albums to document a month of scary movies, but I thought it would be fun to switch my focus to books this year.

I stenciled and stamped the back of 13 card panels as a place to document my book reviews. I further embellished each card with a strip of Raven Chunky Glitterstock, a piece of Apothecary Shelves Washi, and a Ghost.

I created paper clip charms made with fussy cuts and stamped images from the calendar to add to each card panel. It was really fun to use the spooky products in this advent calendar to make these small pieces of layered art.

Each book review card slides into the top of an envelope that is decorated with Glitterstock and either a Magical Library or Halloglass Card Panel. I'm looking forward to filling in this journal!

What are you reading this month?
