Gnome Gift Bags - Susan K. Weckesser Spot The Gnomey Contest

Hi! I'm sharing a set of gift bags that I created to help promote the Susan K. Weckesser Spot The Gnomey Contest. I picked up some chalkboard gift bags and used chalk ink along with the Insta-Cute Stamp Set and the Susan K. Weckesser Live in Color Stencil to decorate the front of each gift bag.

I had a lot of fun stamping gnomes onto colorful pieces of Core'dinations Tillie Dot Cardstock using the What's Up Gnomey Stamp Set. I then paper pieced the gnomes together and added them to the frames. The texture from the Tillie Dot Cardstock helps give my bags some extra wow factor!

I hope you all consider joining the Spot The Gnomey Contest! Here's all the details:

I'm The Mother Arch - Tando Creative

Hi! I'm sharing an arch that I created with some of my favorite pieces of chipboard for the Free For All theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I usually split apart the Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame and use the individual pieces separately. I do so here and used an outer frame for the base of my piece. I filled the back of the frame with patterned paper and then piled a vintage image, stickers, ribbon and chipboard on top. I dressed up my chipboard with stamps, acrylic paint, clear and crackle glaze, paint and ink.

I paired the vintage image with a favorite Anne Taintor quote. I love my girls, but I'm only half way through Summer break and I'm beginning to miss my 30+ hours of alone time each week! I know I have said this line more than once and I'm sure to repeat it before school starts again. ;)

You can pick up all the pieces I used here from the Tando Creative Retail Shop. Also, there is still time to submit applications for the Design Team Call!

Washi Tape Bracelets - Love My Tapes

Hi! I'm sharing some more bracelets that I created with Love My Tapes Washi Tape today. Unlike my last bracelet that used paper, wire and beads along with washi tape, these bracelets are 100% washi tape and are so simple to create that I made mine while sitting poolside!

If you have ever made a chain out of Starburst candy wrappers, you are already familiar with this folding technique. I cut pieces of washi tape to 2 and 5/8 inches, folded them and linked them together. This project was fun and easy to create, and with the wide range of Love My Tapes washi tape designs, highly personable to individual tastes. I scored some major points with my young daughters with these mustache bracelets.

Shell Seekers - Quick Quotes

Hi! I'm sharing a beach themed layout that I created for Quick Quotes today. I mixed the Dream Big, Calypso and Baggage Claim collections for this page. I recently vacationed at our family lake house and my girls had a blast collecting shells along the beach. I combined patterned papers in a soothing color palette to complement the photo that I took of the last shell hunt during our trip.

I cut a small vellum sentiment from the Sentiments Quote Bundle to layer over my photo. I made a small embellishment cluster of flowers and circles that I cut from patterned papers and beach themed chipboard die-cuts that I had leftover from a past Club Q Kit.

I lightly distressed the edges of each patterned paper with my scissors and Creamy Cocoa PowderPuff Chalking Ink. I cut the gorgeous blue flowers from the Calypso 200 Patterned Paper,  highlighted the centers with liquid pearls.

Shine Canvas - Susan K. Weckesser + UmWow Studio Summer Blog Hop!

Hi! I'm sharing a 6x6 canvas that I created for the Susan K. Weckesser and UmWow Studio Summer Blog Hop. Both design teams have been sharing gorgeous, bright and shining inspirational projects with you all week. Be sure to keep visiting, hopping and commenting to enter to win one of TWO prize packages. Each day is chock full of goodness and we don't want you to miss a thing.

The UmWow Studio Light Bulb Mask inspired this bright piece. I applied a thin layer of light molding paste over the Light Bulb Mask and then topped it with one of my husband's old guitar amp tubes. I love using them for funky light bulbs. I highlighted some of the light rays with Clearsnap Sundance Smooch. I cut the colorful letters from the Susan K. Weckesser Live, Love, Create Patterned Paper.

I colored UmWow Studio Layered Circles Chipboard with ink and then used them separately, rather than layered, to pair with the colored circles that I cut from the Susan K. Weckesser Color Burst Patterned Paper.

I stamped around the edge of the canvas with the Susan K. Weckesser A Little Bit Washi Stamp Set. I used the bottom piece of an UmWow Studio Layered Banner Chipboard as a corner accent above.

I finished the canvas with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges, a light coat of white mist and some hand-dyed ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Come Fly With Me ATC - Tando Creative Challenge

Hi! I'm sharing an ATC that I created for Tando Creative today. The theme on the Tando Challenge Blog this month is the quote "Come Fly With Me."I had a lot of fun stacking butterflies for this piece.

I started by using the Butterfly Mask on the base of the Artist Trading Card to make the butterfly outline. I then colored butterflies from the Butterfly Grab Bag and some Mini Butterflies with ink and layered them on top of each other. I added a paper rosette and some pearl accents to finish.

Up for grabs this month are 4 pieces of Tando chipboard of your choice!  All you have to do is create a piece incorporating the monthly theme and link to the Tando Creative Challenge Blog. You don't have to use Tando products, but, if you do you'll be entered into the draw twice, doubling your chances to win. We don't have many rules, as rules spoil the fun, but in order to be in with a chance of winning we do ask that your project is entered for a maximum of 5 challenges, including Tando.

Thanks for stopping by today! You can now swing by the Tando Retail Store to pick up these pieces for yourself!

Smile Canvas Mini Album - Susan K. Weckesser

Hi! I'm sharing a canvas mini album that I created for Susan K. Weckesser today. I was inspired to create this album by this quote by Marcel Proust; "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." and some photos that I took of my youngest daughter playing with a caterpillar.

To decorate the cover of this album, I used gel medium to transfer a large flower that I cut from the Live in Color patterned paper. I colored the cover with Gelatos and then finished with some doodles. I stamped the album binding using the Smile stamps from the Insta-Cute Stamp Set.

I colored the album pages with Gelatos, stamped photo frames and sentiments with the Insta-Cute Stamp Set and then added a pop of white with the Susan K. Weckesser Live in Color Stencil and some white acrylic paint.

I added some journaling to the back cover of the album.
