Christmas Tree Ornament - Couture Creations

Hi! I'm sharing a Christmas ornament that I created with pieces of embossed chipboard for Couture Creations today. This project started out as a mini album kit. Instead of using the triangular tree portions as pages, I glued them all together to create a fun and colorful ornament for the tree!

I embossed each section of the tree with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. I painted the front and back of each piece with a light coat of gesso and then a colorful Gelato. I highlighted the embossing with Silver Inka-Gold. I dipped the edges of each colorful tree segment in white acrylic paint for a frosty feel. Once the paint was dry, I glued the sections together to form the tree. No Christmas tree is complete without bling, so I embellished the tree with Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls and Silver Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue.

I created a photo frame for the back of the ornament with the Scalloped Oval and Oval Nesting Dies.

I finished embellishing the back of the ornament with a stamped sentiment and Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

We're Thankful For You - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created with the Forever Fall collection, which is perfect for documenting fall festivities, for Moxxie. Today being Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share this layout. I'm thankful for many things, especially my niece and nephew!

I created a small embellishment cluster with my favorite Moxxie owl sticker and some felt flowers.

I cut some colorful leaves from the Forever Fall Autumn patterned paper to scatter along the bottom of my photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I want to wish those who celebrate a Happy Thankgiving or Hanukkah! If you've picked up the Forever Fall collection, we'd love to see what you are creating! Stop by the Moxxie facebook page to share you work or leave a link in the comment section of this post.

Thanksgiving Party Crackers Tutorial - Quick Quotes

Hi! I'm sharing a project that is quick and easy to put together -- festive party crackers -- for Quick Quotes today. I'm using this set for my Thanksgiving dinner party, but these fun favors are great for any special occasion, and with the extensive line of Quick Quotes patterned papers, easy to personalize to suit any need! The high quality of Quick Quotes paper makes it ideal for off-the-page projects like this. The double-sided designs ensure that both the outside and the inside of this packaging looks fantastic!

Step One: Cut the party cracker template from a piece of cardstock or thin cardboard. Trace around the template onto a piece of patterned paper. Three party crackers can be cut from one piece of 12x12 patterned paper.

Step Two: Cut the party cracker from the patterned paper.

Step Three: Using a craft knife, cut the slits into the patterned paper, down the right side of the cracker, that will hold the tabs on the left side of the paper.

Step Four: Fold the top edge of the patterned paper down to cover the middle segment of the cracker. Hint: The tabs on the left hand side of the cracker should line up. Using scissors, cut small triangles from the folded top edge of the cracker. Note: Cutting pieces of paper from between the cracker segments will allow the cracker to seal in the prize contents in a pleasing way that does not wrinkle the patterned paper.

Step Five: Fold the bottom edge of the patterned paper up to cover the middle segment of the cracker. Hint: The tabs on the left hand side of the cracker should line up. Using scissors, cut small triangles from the folded bottom edge of the cracker.

Step Six: Roll the paper to create a tube, inserting the tabs through the slits. Tuck a prize into the middle of the cracker. Cut two pieces of ribbon measuring 16-inches and tie the two ends of the cracker shut.

Party Invitation Set - Paper Wings Productions + Tando Creative

Hi! I'm sharing a colorful party invitation set for Paper Wings Productions today. With the holiday season fast approaching, I've been thinking a lot about dinner parties, new recipes and spending time with family and friends. I also thought it would be fun to make my own fun and funky party invitation set.

I've been missing the lovey ladies from the Women Melange Cling Stamp Set. I selected Diana for my party invites. (Paper Wings offers a fantastic selection of People Stamps if you have something else in mind.)

I started by embossing Diana in four different colors on pieces of white cardstock measuring 3 x 3.5 inches, which is slightly larger than the stamped image.

I then cut each Diana image into four equal pieces and rearranged them to create four colorful portraits.

I mounted each portrait onto a piece of colored cardstock.

I finished the invitation set by adding a Tando Creative Small Speech Bubble, that I stamped rsvp onto with the Holiday Mix It Up Clear Stamp Set, to each card. There is plenty of room for the party details on the back of the card.

Latte Canvas - Paper House Productions

Hi! I'm sharing a fun canvas that I created for Paper House Productions today. When I saw the Coffee Talk 3D Sticker Set I immediately thought of two of my favorite things, lattes from my favorite coffee chain and the Mike Myers Saturday Night Live sketches "Coffee Talk with Linda Richman." I'm a little verklempt! I created this small home decor piece for myself and I smile whenever I look at it.

6x6 Burlap Canvas
Latte Photo Collage
Fall into Autumn 3D Sticker Set
Coffee Talk 3D Sticker Set
Texture Stamp
Brown Ink
Brown Twine
Coffee Beans

Step One: Using a texture stamp and brown ink, stamp around the sides of the canvas.

Step Two: Adhere a latte photo collage to the front of the canvas.

Step Three: Wrap brown twine around the canvas several times and tie into a bow.

Step Four: Add the "I Like You A Latte" and the coffee beans with leaves 3D stickers to the center of the canvas.

Step Five: Add the coffee beans 3D sticker to the bottom right corner of the canvas. Add the layered leaf sticker to the top left corner of the canvas.

Step Six: Glue coffee beans around the border of the canvas.

I love the touch of glitter on the 3D latte sticker!

The 3D coffee bean stickers blend beautifully with the real coffee bean border!

Gratitude Card - Couture Creations

Hi! I'm sharing a card that I created with the gorgeous Endless Embossing Folder for Couture Creations today. I have many things to be thankful for and this card will be going to someone special! I embossed a piece of metal for the background of my card and then added color with alcohol inks for a fun and festive finish.

Follow these steps to create a similar card:

Step One: Emboss a piece of aluminum with the Endless Embossing Folder.

Step Three: Wrap a piece of ribbon around the center of the embossed and colored aluminum piece and mount onto a cardstock card base using Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Four: Cut a piece of white cardstock with a Scalloped Oval Nesting Die. Ink the edges. Stick the oval over the center of the ribbon with Double-Sided Tape.

Tea Time - Paper Wings Productions

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created with the November Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit for Paper Wings Productions today. One of the photos from the Clip Art Sheet caught my eye and I had a lot of fun putting together this floral tea-themed page.

This kit offered me a much needed escape from my holiday crafting! The pretty Prima patterned papers and flowers took me back to a much warmer and less stressful time, if only for a couple of hours. I also got to play with my neglected floral stamps from the last release!

I started with a white piece of cardstock. I stamped a leaf patterned background with the Leaf Border Clear Stamp Set and brown ink. I added color to the background with Faber-Castell Gelatos. Once the background was dry, I randomly scrapped a light coat of gesso over the page to tone down the color for a more shabby look.

I cut and colored flowers stamped with the Evening Primrose Stamp to add some color around the image.

I colored a white Prima Canvas Flower with Lindy's Stamp Gang Cape Cod Coral Color Shot. I framed a small piece of patterned paper with a Prima Wooden Frame and then covered it with a layer of glaze.

The Greatest Love Card - CSW Distributors

Hi! I'm sharing a card that I created with the gorgeous Berardi Die from the Couture Creations Sophia Collection for CSW Distributors today. I started by creating my own patterned paper with a heart mask and mist. I layered two pieces of that patterned paper for my card base. I cut the heart from pink cardstock using the Berardi Die. I backed the die-cut heart with white cardstock and secured it to the card base with Foam Mounting Tape.

I created a small embellishment cluster to hold my sentiment, which was created with cardstock, the second heart die-cut from the Berardi Die and a rub-on. I finished the card with some Moonlight Self-Adhesive Gemstones.

Hayride Hijinks - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created by mixing the new Forever Fall collection with the older Fall Frolic collection for Moxxie today. Both lines share shades of orange, green and brown, but the Fall Frolic collection also has a beautiful blue patterned paper that really helped to brighten up my page. I snapped this photo of my daughter during a hayride at a local farm. There were several scenes, complete with actors and props, set up along the route and she really got a kick out of the alien crash site!

I couldn't resist using Moxxie's fantastic cardstock stickers to embellish my page. Each collection has similar shaped stickers and I was able to layer two circle stickers to create this fun "Autumn Owl" piece.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
